Gift Aid

Boost your gift by 25%, at no cost to you

If you're a UK taxpayer, Rahma Mercy (UK Charity #1097682) can reclaim 25p of basic-rate tax on every £1 you donate — turning your £100 gift into £125 at no extra cost to you.

How Gift Aid is handled here

When you tick the Gift Aid declaration on the donation form, your details are recorded and shared securely with Rahma Mercy. Rahma Mercy then issue your Gift Aid receipt and submit the claim to HMRC directly. Madrasah Vali does not claim Gift Aid.

The HMRC declaration

“I confirm I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I want Rahma Mercy (UK Charity #1097682) to claim Gift Aid on my donation.”

What we need from you

  • Your full first and last name
  • Your home address (line 1 must include your house number/name)
  • Your UK postcode
  • The tickbox confirming you're a UK taxpayer and understand the declaration

You can choose to apply your declaration to this donation only, this donation and all future donations to Rahma Mercy, or this donation, the past 4 years, and all future donations to Rahma Mercy.

Cancelling your declaration

You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration at any time by emailing info@madrasahvali.com. We'll stop including your donations in future Gift Aid claims.

Tell us if your circumstances change

Please notify us if you:

  • Change your name or home address
  • Stop paying enough UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax to cover your Gift Aid claims
