Madrasah Vali, Blackburn

Madrasah Vali is the madrasah at Issa Hikmah Centre, home to Masjid-e-Vali on Preston New Road in Blackburn. We currently teach 489 pupils across 38 classes and 12 year groups, taught an aligned curriculum from the An-Nasihah tradition. Our motto: “Learn. Love. Lead — Like a Wali.”

Since 2023 we've been deploying small teams internationally — Indonesia in 2023–24, Albania in 2025 (our first Balkans deployment), and now Bosnia and Albania for 1447/2026.

Rahma Mercy, our delivery partner

Rahma Mercy is a UK Registered Charity (No. 1097682) headquartered in Leicester with a branch in Batley. They've operated across Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina for 25+ years, with a strict 100% donation policy — every pound to a project reaches the field. They currently teach 5,880+ madrasah students across 230+ madāris, sponsor 1,350 orphans, and deliver 5,000+ Ramadan food packs annually.

Critically for us: their madrasah curriculum is based on the same An-Nasihah tradition as Madrasah Vali — which makes a lasting institutional partnership genuinely possible. This campaign locks in the first five years of that partnership: a sponsored MV classroom in Thanasaj, annual MV pupil/teacher visits, Albanian translation of MV materials, and ongoing sponsorship of Albanian Hifz / Mu'allimah / Imam students.

Our commitments to you

• Funds raised by Madrasah Vali on behalf of the campaign and transferred to Rahma Mercy in tranches — every transfer logged publicly.
• Every donation allocated to the specific named project — no redirection without consent.
• All platform & processing costs absorbed by Madrasah Vali. 100% of your gift reaches the project.
• If you opt in to Gift Aid, your declaration is shared with Rahma Mercy, who issue your Gift Aid receipt and claim from HMRC directly.
• Photographs and video footage from each project, in delivery.
• Campaign close-out report published with full reconciliation.
• If we exceed target, surplus is applied to the project most in need with full disclosure.
