From Blackburn to the Balkans
Balkans Campaign 1447
Alhamdulillah, with the generosity of every donor, fundraiser, and supporter, we reached our target for the Balkans 2026 campaign. The work now moves from screens to the ground. Inshallah, we will be updating this page live throughout our journey to the Balkans, beginning Saturday 23rd May. Photos, videos, and reflections from the field will be added here as the project unfolds — so you can see exactly where your sadaqah went and the difference it is making, biidhnillah.

Live updates from the Balkans
A small team will be travelling on your behalf, carrying the trust of thousands of donors with them. Please keep us in your duas — for safe travel, for the strength to do justice to this amanah, and for Allah to accept the efforts of everyone who contributed, seen and unseen.
Qurbani in Albania
Qurbani shares were performed in Elbasan and the surrounding villages over Eid ul-Adha 1447, and the meat distributed by hand to families across the district. Each share fed roughly three households.
Bosnia Food Packs
Family food packs delivered door to door in Sarajevo with our partner Nahla. Each pack held 25 staple grocery and household items, carried up to the door by the team rather than left at a collection point.
Madrasah Vali — Albania Campus
The foundations of the new campus were laid in Lushnjë in May 2026: a permanent classroom, wudu khana and toilet for children who had been studying in a rented building at risk of repossession.
Eid Gifts for Children
Eid gift packs handed out on Eid morning to the children of the Albania campus and their friends, and at a local school the team visited during the trip.
