Back the remaining projects →Who receives the packs
Every pupil of the eleven madaris Madrasah Vali sponsors in 2026–27, across Elbasan, Tirana, Kavaja, Lushnje, Permet, Shkoder and Vlore. The pack goes home with the child, so it feeds the family.
The first round is handed over in person by the Madrasah Vali team on the October 2026 trip. The remaining three rounds go out through the year with Rahma Mercy's teachers on the ground.
What £52 provides
Four food packs across the year for one pupil. Each pack costs £13 (about €15) and is bought locally in Albania, so every pound stays in the local economy.
230 pupils × 4 packs = 920 packs, a total of £11,960.
Zakat, Sadaqah or Lillah
This project accepts all three. The families are confirmed as shariah-eligible recipients by the teachers who know them, so your Zakat reaches someone entitled to receive it.
Reporting back
Photographs from each hand-over and a distribution summary per madrasah are published here after each round.
Funds raised by Madrasah Vali on behalf of the campaign are transferred to Rahma Mercy (UK Charity #1097682). Ring-fenced for this project.
